SLOAN to headline the 2023 Corn & Apple Festival

The Corn & Apple Festival returns August 25-27 and will feature Canadian indie rock group SLOAN headlining the main stage on Saturday, August 26th.

MORDEN, MB, June 16 — The Morden Corn & Apple Festival is thrilled to announce that Canadian indie rock group SLOAN will headline the main stage at this summer’s Festival, with a featured performance by ECONOLINE CRUSH.

“We are thrilled to be featuring so much amazing Canadian talent,” explains Festival executive director Tim Hodge. “We have been working hard to bring great headliners to the Festival, and the pairing of Econoline Crush opening for Sloan is going to make for an unforgettable night.”

SLOAN is a Canadian rock band that has been entertaining audiences for over two decades with hits such as Money City Maniacs, Underwhelmed, and The Good in Everyone. The Juno award winning group has an outstanding collection of over 250 songs and more than 30 singles with airplay on Canadian Rock Radio.

ECONOLINE CRUSH formed in 1992 and released their breakthrough (and ultimately platinum-selling) album The Devil You Know in 1997. The band has toured with Alice Cooper and opened for KISS at Madison Square Garden. When The Devil Drives is the group’s new album which releases later this year.

“Last year was the first Festival after a two-year pandemic-induced hiatus, and we made the decision to go big with our main stage entertainment and brought in BIG WRECK,” added Hodge. “The response was so incredible that we knew we had to go even bigger this year. Having SLOAN headline the main stage accomplished our goal and adding a featured performance by ECONOLINE CRUSH brings us to a whole new level.”
