NewSong’s career spans over 40 years, 19 studio albums and 20 #1 radio singles – and launched one of the biggest tours in the world. It almost defies explanation. After all, how does one account for their multi-generational appeal and relevance in today’s constantly changing culture?

“From the beginning, we felt like God wanted us to do this ministry” Carswell says. “Four guys. No band. We were playing concerts and seeing God show up in amazing ways. From then to now, God has continued to show up, encouraging us to keep going.”

The heart of NewSong is to glorify God in everything they do. That includes Christian music’s largest annual tour, Winter Jam Tour Spectacular, which has reached millions of teens for Christ over the last decade. Their mega hit “The Christmas Shoes” was nominated for a GRAMMY, and they have been inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame. Their popular Xtreme Conferences have reached nearly 500,000 high school students in 20 years. Carswell adds “Far above all our accomplishments, our highest aim is to glorify God on and off the stage.”

NewSong has reached over 6 million people in the last decade alone. Since day one of their ministry, NewSong has been committed to share the gospel at every event and has seen over 1.2 million people make a decision for Christ in the last 10 years. They continue to use music as a tool for evangelism every year through approximately 100 events annually.
