Event Details

Monochromatics is a punk band from Morden, Manitoba, Canada. The group was originally formed in 2006 by guitarist/singer Goose Peters, bassit Alejandro Penner, and drummer Matt Wiebe under the name “Threw”. With a more hardcore punk sound they played many local shows, but through some creative differences Matt Wiebe parted ways with Goose and Alejendro. In 2010 Chris Sawatzky joined as a temporary drummer, but Goose and Alejandro thought he was the best fit and offered him the spot permanently.

Lucas Wiens joined the band in 2012 as a secondary guitarist. After Lucas joined they thought it was time for a re-name of the band and so Monocrhomatics was born. In 2017 Monochromatics released their first full-length album “Out of Time”, with hit songs such as “Out of Time”, “Running Ronnie”, and “Hero”. Just recently they released “About a Girl”, “Undertow”, “Anthem”, and “88mph”, all influenced by bands like Blink 182, Green Day, Bowling for Soup, MXPX, and Rancid just to name a few.
