Worship Concert with NewSong’s Russ Lee

Russ Lee’s story is one born out of a tumultuous world where drugs, alcoholism and mental illness were all very close and very real. As a teenager, Russ began to see it all unravel, and in a moment of desperation, his cry for help was heard and his life was radically changed through the power and forgiveness of Jesus Christ. 

When Russ became a Christian, he surrendered every part of his life and that included his musical gifts. Since that time God has continued to develop him and grow his platform as a speaker and Christian music artist. Russ has 17 top five songs to his credit, 13 of which were #1 songs on CCM radio. He has won numerous songwriting and performance awards, served as a worship pastor and student minister in the local church, been a short term missionary and board member for various mission organizations.

In addition to solo concerts and speaking engagements, Russ is lead singer and currently tours with the highly acclaimed music group, “NewSong,” where his ministry includes singing, songwriting and sharing the gospel around the world. NewSong is the founder and host of the blockbuster Christian music Tour, “Winter Jam.” Russ Lee has the privilege of singing live in front of hundreds of thousands of people a year, but whether it is in an arena full of people or in a house church on the mission field, Russ believes that everything he does is for the glory of God and a tremendous, undeserved blessing. 

Russ recently returned to graduate school where he earned his Masters Degree in Christian Ministries at The Southern Baptist theological seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. 

When Russ is not touring with NewSong, doing solo concerts, or speaking as an advocate for ministries which help vulnerable children around the world, Russ enjoys spending time with his family and being involved in ministry with his home church and in his community. His family is truly a priority to him and is closely involved in all he does. He and his wife Mary live in Kentucky USA and have 3 grown children, two of whom are married, and 4  grandchildren.
